The Bluebell Railway along with the Watercress Line at Mid Hants were staple railways of my childhood. The last time I came here was around 10 years ago and its great to be back. What made it all the more special is that this was actually a treat for my birthday weekend with my Mum and husband in tow. It was a fabulous (if not hot) day out. The Bluebell was actually the first preserved heritage railway in Britain and thats clear to see from its vast collection of rolling stock and period buildings which are beautifully maintained.

Looking from Horsted Keynes to Kingscote

It was quite nice to see the Class O1 in the loco shed as this was what hauled me the last time I visited over 10 years ago now. Still looks in excellent condition and is just coming to the end of an overhaul.
